Gabrielle Pitre

Hello, my name is Gabrielle Pitre. I am a 19-year-old Junior Long-Range, Mid-Range, Across the Course Match-Rifle, High-Power and NCAA Small-Bore shooter from Louisville, Kentucky. I have been shooting in competition since I was 8 years old. I started with shotgun and at the age of 13, I was picked up by the Alaska All-State Team to represent the Women’s division. In 2011, I switched to Small-Bore and became Distinguished in NRA 50ft 4-position Small-Bore. While shooting Small-Bore, I was introduced to Service-Rifle competition and from there; I entered Match Rifle/Palma Rifle competition. I have been shooting rifles competitively for four years now, and I have had the opportunity to shoot all over the country such as in Washington, Oregon, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Michigan, and Ohio. This upcoming year, I plan to travel and shoot in Kentucky, Ohio, Arizona, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, Tennessee, and New Mexico. I am a firing member on the Kentucky State High-Power Rifle Team, the U-25 USA Young Eagles Palma Team and The Akron Zips Club NCAA Rifle Team. Some of my accomplishments include:

Among my accomplishments, I have also had the opportunity to hold Leadership roles such as Team Captain of Long-Range and High-Power Teams numerous times for State, National, and International Teams.

Since I started my shooting career, I have looked up to and admired many great people in the shooting community. I have learned a great deal of traits in shooting these competitions. Traits like, sportsmanship, responsibility, respect, humility, pride and teamwork. I continually promote positive sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and go to as many Matches as I possibly can, at the Local, State, Regional, National and International levels. I have a very bubbly personality, and I am told I am a joy to be around. I feel being a positive team player who always has a smile on their face, is one of the most important things to help keep myself, and other people in good spirits. I plan on continuing my shooting well into the future, and I look forward to representing myself and the USA in International competition.
