Jake Degenshein

I am 15 years old and I am a competitive shooter. I participate in USPSA, IDPA, and Multi-Gun competitions. I have been shooting in competitions for about two and a half years but I was first introduced to firearms at the age of 8. My father got me into competitive shooting a few years ago when he realized that he wanted to work more on his pistol skills. After shooting my first match I was hooked, I began shooting more and more matches every month. I started off shooting IDPA where I went to a few sanctioned matches and got bumped up to sharpshooter, I later classified as an expert. Later I began shooting more USPSA where I became a B class shooter while shooter Limited minor. Before the 2014 season ended I classified as an A class shooter in Limited. My goals as a shooter are to shoot more major matches, become a Master class shooter in both IDPA and USPSA by the end of the 2015 season, and to attend more training classes with professional shooters, such as the USAMU Junior Clinic at Fort Benning, Georgia.
