My competition shooting started while I was in my teens.  During those years of shooting International Trap, as a member of the US Shooting Team, I was able to travel around the United States and abroad to places like Italy, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela and Egypt.  I gained a lot of experience in the mental aspect of competition.  This helps me out greatly today.  For a year and a half I trained at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs in the hopes of making the 1992 Olympic Team.  In that, I placed 6^th and they took the top 3.

 After that I took a long break from any competition.  Starting in 2009 I wanted to get into pistol shooting.  IDPA was a good choice.  In my first year I made 5-Gun Master.  I continued with this for a few more years then went to shooting USPSA more.  USPSA offered me pistol practice as 3-Gun became the sport that I wanted to shoot.

Now I am solidly into 3-Gun shooting.  2014 was my second solid year of shooting 3-Gun.  I have definitely improved over the year before. I made the 3-Gun Nation Pro Series this year and will continue on it this year.  For 2015 I expect to participate in an equal or great number of major matches as well as the Pro Series.
