My first experience with shooting was when I was in the Police Explorer program while in high school in California.  Many years later, I would go to the local gun range with my husband and shoot for fun, just to keep up my skills or to test out a new gun that we had purchased. 

In 2013, I began attending the ladies night program at the Southern Utah Practical Shooters Range.  As my skills rapidly increased from the excellent instruction, myself and another female shooter were encouraged to form an all ladies shooting team, The Dixie Pixies.  From there we recruited a few more women shooters to fill our team and have some fun.

Now armed with a fantastic coach, Glen Wong, I practice and compete as much as I can while still working my hectic job as a makeup artist.  Right now, I compete in USPSA matches in production class.  In the next few years, I hope to advance my skills even further and compete in more matches.
